Kuoni Expands Partnership with Pegas for Sanya Charters

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Tuesday, 18 May 2010

Kuoni Destination Management China has expanded its partnership with the Russian tour operator Pegas Touristik.

Five charter flights per week will bring more than 1,000 travellers for an average two-week stay per person to Sanya on the Hainan Island in China.

The charter flights originate from eastern Russian cities, such as Novossibirsk, Kemerovo, Irkutsk, Krasnoiarsk and Khabarovsk.

A team of multi-lingual (Russian, Chinese and French) speaking employees of Kuoni Destination Management China and its local partner are handling all operational aspects of these charter flights. These include airport transfers, hotel accommodation and a wide range of excursions (on land and boat, such as diving and snorkelling).

"This new contract is a big development for Kuoni Destination Management China and both parties are looking at growing the partnership in the future. Pegas is becoming a key partner of the Kuoni Group, as Kuoni India is already handling this client’s charter flights to Goa," said Véronique Ducassy, Head of Kuoni Destination Management China.

Pegas has been partnering with Kuoni Destination Management in India since 1996 and between October - May handles more than 1 200 passengers to Goa per week.

Hainan Island is located in the southern part of China and is known for its tropical vegetation, beautiful beaches, and for offering dozens of hotels of all categories.
