The Mövenpick Resort & Residence Aqaba and
Mövenpick Resort Tala Bayin Jordan have been awarded the HACCP
(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) certification for
their food safety management programmes.
HACCP is a complete, seven-step food safety
management system that addresses physical, chemical and biological
hazards as a means of prevention, not merely identifying problems
after the fact. HACCP is included in the ISO 22000 international
standards system, and seeks to provide maximum protection for the
food consumer.
“Both the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) use HACCP programme as
an effective approach to maximize food safety and protect public
health,” said Hubert Klemenz, General Manager of Mövenpick Resort
Tala Bay.
