Stopover in Tahiti from just $1

With its new range of 2010 Tahiti Tiare stopover packages, Air Tahiti Nui is offering travellers from Australia to the USA, Europe or Japan the option to stop in Tahiti from only $1 per person, twin share.

 The $1 stopover deal, which is for sale until 31 May 2010, applies to the first night stay at Le Meridien Tahiti in a Lagoon or Garden View Room, and additional nights can be purchased from $139 per person, twin share.

Air Tahiti Nui’s stopover packages are also available at seven other hotels on the islands of Tahiti and Moorea, including the following:

- Sofitel Tahiti Resort from $110 per person, per night
- InterContinental Resort Tahiti from $115 per person, per night
- Hilton Hotel Tahiti from $110 per person, per night
- Moorea Pearl Resort and Spa from $160 per person, per night
- Radisson Plaza Resort Tahiti from $115 per person, per night
- InterContinental Resort and Spa Moorea from $175 per person, per night, or
- Manava Suite Resort Tahiti from $125 per person, per night.

The 2010 Tahiti Tiare packages are based on twin-share accommodation, and a maximum four night stay applies at these rates. Local city tax of XPF150 (approximately A$2) per person, per night, is not included except for the InterContinental Resort Tahiti.

Return hotel transfers can be purchased for an additional $50 for stays on the island of Tahiti, and $135 for Moorea, which includes boat transfers.

All stopover packages (excluding the $1 deal) are available for travel until 31 December 2010 and can only be purchased with an Air Tahiti Nui ticket originating in Australia to a destination beyond French Polynesia.

Air Tahiti Nui offers two weekly one-stop flights from Sydney to Papeete.
