LAN Airlines has resumed daily flights between
Sydney and South America, after reducing services during the
global financial crisis.
Flight LA 800 now departs Sydney at 09:55 each
day, flying via Auckland to Santiago, Chile, arriving at 12:10 the
same day.
The flights are operated with two class Airbus
A340-300 aircraft, configured to seat up to 260 passengers – 42 in
the spacious Premium Business Class cabin and 218 in Economy
Class.
From Santiago, LAN offers onward service to a
growing network of destinations in and beyond 10 Latin American
countries, with new services starting in January from Lima to
Iguassu, Brazil, and Lima to Easter Island.
LAN also has just launched daily flights from
Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador, to the Galapagos Islands, and from
January will add a new Santiago-Lima service five days a week,
streamlining connections from Australia and New Zealand.
