Frasers Hospitality has expanded its impressive
portfolio of properties around the globe with the opening of the
Fraser Suites Dubai, the company’s first property in the UAE.
The Fraser Suites Dubai is located on Sheikh Zayed Road and occupies the top 23
levels of the 45-storey Sidra Tower, a new mixed-use development featuring commercial office suites and high end retail
outlets.
The property’s 180 suites and penthouses
command sweeping views across the city including iconic landmarks
such at the
Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, the Palm Jumeirah and kilometers of golden sand beaches lining
the Persian Gulf.
Fraser Suites Dubai features light filled
open plan living spaces and provides full kitchen and laundry
facilities, large balconies, work desks, luxurious bedding, marble
bathrooms with exclusive Peter Thomas Roth amenities and daily
housekeeping services.
A round-the-clock reception and
concierge attends to every guest need and the in-house Aqua Cafe
offers a full international buffet breakfast and a wide variety of
dishes with an emphasis on freshness and flavor throughout the
day.
Fraser Suites Dubai’s business facilities include
a business centre, boardroom and meeting facilities, perfect for
small events for six to 30 people.
Family oriented
services and facilities include a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool,
children’s wading pool and sundeck, tennis court, squash court,
24-hour gymnasium, aerobics room and Fraser Kid’s Club. And Fraser
Suites Dubai is also ideally located as a base for leisure travellers.
Mr David Brown, General Manager
of Fraser Suites Dubai, said, “While Fraser clientele
internationally has predominately been corporate family or
business traveller-based, our ideal location near some of Dubai’s most popular
leisure destinations such as the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai
Marina and Emirates Golf Club, make us an excellent and convenient
alternative for short leisure stays, especially with those
travelling with large families.”
Despite the
challenges of the global financial crisis, Dubai continues to
maintain its position as a vibrant centre of trade and commerce with a forecast GDP growth of 2.5%
in 2010, and more than
70% of its GDP contribution attributed to the non-oil
sector.
The Emirate continues to attract expatriates,
who represent more than 80% of the total population.
According to the most recent figures, Dubai recorded a growth in
population to 1.77 million in 2009, up by more than 7% over the previous year.
“Dubai’s status as
an international business hub is well-established and its business
friendly environment ensures that it will continue to attract high
levels of investment,” said Mr Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer, Frasers
Hospitality Pte Ltd. “From a strategic
perspective for Fraser, establishing a presence here was a natural progression in our strategy to become a key player in the UAE.”
