Qantas Appoints Chief Financial Officer

 Mr Gareth Evans has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Qantas.

Mr Evans has been acting Group Executive Finance, performing the functions of CFO to Qantas Airways Limited since the resignation of Mr Colin Storrie earlier this year.

 He was until recently, Chief Financial Officer Qantas Airlines within the Qantas Group. He is a director of the Qantas Foundation and Jetset Travelworld Limited.

 “He brings to the role strong airline operational experience across a broad range of functions, in addition to his corporate finance skills from roles at Caltex, KPMG and within Qantas,” said Mr Alan Joyce, Chief Executive Officer of Qantas Airways Limited. “I look forward to working with Gareth Evans in his new role as CFO at the Group level ...
