Korean Air appoints Dae-Hwan Kang as Regional GM Passenger & Cargo Sales - HK / Macau

Korean Air has appointed Mr. Dae-Hwan Kang as Regional General Manager, Passenger & Cargo Sales - Hong Kong / Macau.

Mr. Kang, 51, has served at the Regional Passenger Office in Korean Airs headquarters in Seoul since January 1986, where he worked in a number of sales management roles for 8 years. In 1994, Mr. Kang was transferred to Korean Airs Paris Regional Headquarters where he was responsible for passenger sales development before his relocation back to Seoul in 1997, to work in Regional Passenger Sales Office and Airport Service Division.

From 2001 to 2005 Mr. Kang was stationed in Hanoi, where he oversaw passenger business and helped Korean Air achieve rapid growth in that market, and subsequently one of the fastest growing airlines in the region. Mr. Kang served as General Manager of Passenger Sales at Regional Headquarters in Korea from 2005 to 2008 before being appointed as General Manager of Passenger Sales Division of Southeast Asia Regional Headquarters in Singapore. Again the operation delivered strong growth after he took office.

Mr. Kang holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Korea University.
