StayWell Hospitality Group (SWHG) is
bringing its Park Regis brand to Southeast Asia with its first
property in the region to open in Singapore.
Scheduled to open before the end of this year,
Park Regis Singapore will be located in the main banking and
corporate district of Raffles Place, alongside the Singapore
River.
The 203-room hotel joins SWHG’s growing
portfolio of properties worldwide. The group currently has a
network of 24 hotels under its Park Regis and Leisure Inn brands
in key Australian cities with new developments in Dubai, Morocco
and New Zealand. It also recently signed a
Park Regis hotel in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, which will
open in the first half of 2011.
“With its
reputation as a regional business and tourism hub, Singapore is
the perfect city to showcase the brand across the region. This new
hotel marks the start of our expansion strategy to grow this brand
in Southeast Asia and beyond. We are currently exploring similar
opportunities in other key business destinations,” said Simon Wan,
CEO, SWHG.
The interior of Park Regis Singapore is being designed
by Australian firm Woodhead, which is behind some of the country’s
key developments. These include the interior design of Changi
International Airport terminals 1 and 3 as well as the Singapore
National Library.
The hotel will have a range of features that
will cater to both business and leisure travellers including a
stunning 25 metre outdoor lap pool, a spacious gymnasium as well
as two meeting and conference rooms with video conferencing
facilities. It will also have several dining options – an all-day
dining restaurant serving international cuisine, a lounge bar, a
pool bar and a rooftop bar.
Business travellers
will be able to enjoy the full suite of secretarial services
offered at the hotel’s business centre. State-of–the-art
technology is also provided in the rooms, with guests having
access to Interactive TV (IPTV), Interactive Phone (IP) and Wi-Fi
broadband internet access.
Located within walking
distance to Singapore’s vibrant entertainment and dining hubs such
as Clarke Quay, Boat Quay and Chinatown , Park Regis Singapore
will feature all the comforts of city living. Set a mere five
minutes’ walk from Clarke Quay MRT station, popular tourist
attractions such as Orchard Road, Singapore’s premier shopping
district, and Marina Bay Sands integrated resort are also only a
few train stops away.
