São Paulo’s Maksoud Plaza Hotel has expanded its agreement with
Utell Hotels & Resorts to include eBuzz Connect social media
management.
As an extension of Maksoud’s existing contract with
Utell, eBuzz Connect will enable the landmark property to monitor
and manage its online reputation and social media marketing to
effectively drive bookings.
The 416-room Maksoud Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of São
Paulo, just off Avenida Paulista. The hotel, which joined Utell
Hotels & Resorts in June 2009, “will use eBuzz Connect to augment
its aggressive Utell sales and marketing campaigns with online
reputation management,” said Paulo Patullo, sales and marketing
director for the Maksoud Plaza Hotel.
“Utell has
already helped us engage aggressively via traditional channels,
and now eBuzz Connect will allow us to participate in the emerging
social media realm,” Patullo said. “We’ll utilize it as a fast and
reliable way to detect and acknowledge any discussions or mentions
of the Maksoud Plaza Hotel without having to invest extensive
staff resources. It has allowed us to continue our tradition of
providing prompt attention to our public, wherever they’re
engaging.”
Through the Pegasus strategic
relationship with Milestone Internet Marketing, Utell offers eBuzz Connect to its global portfolio of hotels.
eBuzz Connect facilitates the conversion of social media to
profits by allowing hoteliers to monitor, manage and respond to
social media mentions. The unique platform provides a reference
guide on which channels to optimize and how to do so, demystifying
how hotels can maximize gains in social media channels. It allows
for monitoring of up to four competitors, and for measuring of

previously set goals. The data is presented in a comprehensive
