Deniz Omurgonulsen Appointed Vice President of Membership for Leading Hotels of the World

The Leading Hotels of the World has appointed Ms. Deniz Omurgonulsen to the newly-created position of Vice President of Membership, overseeing member hotels, resorts and spas across the Asia Pacific region as well as worldwide.

 Ms. Omurgonulsen will manage development of the brands portfolio, with responsibilities also including quality initiatives and business performance monitoring.

She reports directly to Ted Teng, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd., which represents more than 450 hotels.

Ms. Omurgonulsen joined The Leading Hotels of the World in 2005 as Strategic Planning Manager. Since 2006 she has been Director of Membership development and a key member of the Quality Committee which continuously monitors and controls high service levels and product delivery required of member hotels.

Prior to joining The Leading Hotels of the World, she worked with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, based at The Pierre Hotel in New York. Her experience includes corporate training and quality initiatives, including participating in pre-opening hotel training teams and implementing a global e-learning platform.

A native of Turkey, Ms. Omurgonulsen graduated with honors from Cornell Universitys School of Hotel Administration. She is the President of the Cornell Hotel Society New York Chapter and actively participates in fundraising efforts for its student scholarship fund.
