Malaysia Airlines Implements Abacus ETAT in Vietnam

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Monday, 12 July 2010

Abacus International has partnered Malaysia Airlines to launch its third eTAT platform in Vietnam, further reinforcing their strong 20-year relationship. Earlier this year the airline increased its flight services to Saigon from 14 flights weekly to 19 flights weekly.

Abacus-appointed travel agents in Vietnam will be among the first to issue electronic TAT tickets on behalf of Malaysia Airlines, reaping significant efficiencies in their sales and ticketing process. This follows the successful implementation of eTAT by Malaysian Airlines in Brunei and Myanmar and it significantly increases Malaysia Airlines’ fulfilment capability and reach in these key markets.

Bernard Francis, Senior General Manager, Sales & Marketing, Malaysia Airlines said, “Malaysia Airlines is delighted to have successfully partnered with Abacus over the years. The eTAT platform is another great solution from Abacus that will boosts our market competitiveness. It allows us to notably increase our market distribution in areas where we did not have access previously.”
