Australian based StayWell Hospitality Group
(SWHG), one of Asia Pacific’s largest independently owned hotel
management companies, has marked its entry into Southeast Asia
with the launch of its flagship upscale Park Regis property in
Singapore.
Set to officially open its doors to the
public on 16 November 2010, the 203-room Park Regis Singapore
marks a significant milestone in SWHG’s strategy to expand the
brand in key destinations across the region. The group currently
manages more than 10 Park Regis hotels primarily in Australia and
has new properties under development in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia, scheduled to open early next year.
“Park
Regis hotels deliver a distinctive blend of old world English
charm combined with modern Australian hospitality. We see enormous
growth potential for this brand in Southeast Asia and are
confident that the debut of our new hotel in Singapore will help
pave the way for more properties to come in future,” said Simon
Wan, CEO, SWHG.
Park Regis Singapore is located in
the main banking and corporate district of Raffles Place,
alongside the Singapore River with views of the
bustling nightlife of Clarke Quay. The hotel has a range of
features including a 25-metre outdoor lap pool, a
spacious gymnasium as well as two meeting and conference rooms.
The hotel also offers several dining options,
including Suite 23, an all-day dining restaurant serving global
cuisine in a contemporary setting; ‘Scape Lounge, a chic setting
perfect for pre-dinner drinks, SiLuEt, an al fresco rooftop bar
for chilling out in the evening and Splash! Pool Side Café, an
ideal venue to unwind and relax by the pool.
Business travellers can enjoy a full suite of secretarial services
at the hotel’s business centre. In addition, all rooms include
Interactive TV (IPTV), Interactive Phone (IP) and Wi-Fi broadband
internet access.
“Our focus at Park Regis Singapore
is to enhance guest experiences so the hotel is positioned to
deliver some of the highest levels of comfort and quality.
Situated within walking distance from the business and
entertainment districts, the hotel is the ideal location for
corporate and leisure travellers coming to Singapore,” said Jason
Dowd, General Manager, Park Regis Singapore.
The
interior of Park Regis Singapore is designed by Australian firm
Woodhead, which is behind some of the country’s key developments. These include the interior design of Changi International Airport
terminals 1 and 3 as well as the Singapore National Library.
Designed as a city resort, the hotel features tropical trees
overhanging the pool deck which overlooks Clarke Quay giving
guests the experience of staying in a friendly intimate resort
located in the heart of the city.
