Brussels Airlines has signed a global, full
content agreement with Travelport.
The new deal, which takes
immediate effect, will provide all Galileo and Worldspan-connected
agents with access to the full fares and inventory of Belgiums
national carrier including its online fares. Brussels Airlines, a
Star Alliance member, operates more than 300 scheduled flights
daily to more than 70 global destinations.
Mr. Rudy Maex, VP Channel Development & Service
Delivery, Brussels Airlines said, The extensive network that
Travelport offers through its Galileo and Worldspan platforms, and
particularly their footprint in Africa where they are the GDS of
choice, gives us exceptional access to the travel industry and is
an important part of our overall distribution strategy.
Earlier in the year, Brussels Airlines also
implemented Travelports ETAT ticketing in various African
countries.
Travelport ETAT ticketing is a solution designed to
offer a practical and effective way for travel agents to provide
e-tickets in countries where there is no standard ticketing
process (e.g. BSP). It also lowers distribution costs for airlines
in these countries.
