Marriott International has signed a long-term
management agreement with Phat Dat Quang Ngai Hotel & Resort Corp.
to operate the 250-room Hoi An Marriott Resort & Spa.
The resort,
which is scheduled to open in 2015, will be the ninth Marriott
International-flagged property and second Marriott-branded resort
in Vietnam.
The Hoi an Marriott Resort & Spa will be
located at Cua Dai Beach on the South China Sea, approximately a
five-minute drive northeast of Hoi An’s Ancient Town and about a
35-minute drive from Da Nang International Airport.
Guestrooms at the Hoi An
Marriott Resort & Spa will have
balconies from which to enjoy the panoramic beach and coastline.
The resort will have four food and beverage outlets as well as
abundant recreational amenities such as three swimming pools, a
world-class spa and outdoor tennis courts.
The Hoi An Marriott
Resort & Spa will also feature 1,100 square meters of function
space including a 750-square meter ballroom.
Hoi An is highly regarded by travelers around
the world for its charm and history. Its Ancient Town, a UNESCO
World Heritage site, features beautiful architecture dating back
200 years. Visitors can experience riverside dining and enjoy a
variety of retail offerings of artwork, silk and the town’s famous
custom-tailored outfits. Hoi An is also well-known for its quality
beaches, diverse water and adventure-based activities, world-class
golf courses and proximity to two other UNESCO World Heritage
sites - the ancient imperial city of Hue and the ruins of the Champa
Empire at My Son.

The Marriott
International portfolio in Vietnam currently includes the
Renaissance Riverside Saigon and the New World Hotel Saigon in Ho
Chi Minh City. Six additional properties are planned or under
construction. They include the 200-room Courtyard by Marriott Ham
Tan (2011), the 250-room Nha Trang Marriott (2012), the 450-room
JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi (2012), the 320-room JW Marriott Vinh Hoi
Bay Resort & Spa (2014), Vinh Hoi Bay-A Ritz-Carlton Reserve
(2014) and the 271-room JW Marriott Da Nanag Resort (2015).
