Jetstar to Increase Daily Flights between Singapore and Bangkok

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Thursday, 9 April 2009

Jetstar is to add a third daily Singapore-Bangkok service. The new daily Airbus A320 return flight commencing 1 October 2009 is an incremental service and will grow Jetstars existing Singapore-Bangkok offering from twice to three times daily.

Jetstars growth on the Singapore-Bangkok route comes as a direct result of the Jetstar Groups renewed focus on leveraging synergies and Jetstar Group assets between the Jetstar operation in Australia and the Singapore based Jetstar Asia/Valuair operation.

Jetstar is currently on sale with one way JetSaver web fares from Singapore to Bangkok from Sin$0 one way plus airport tax and surcharges of Sin$45 per way. These sale fares at Jetstar.com are available until 16.00 Singapore time on 11 April 2009 unless seats sell out prior.

The offer is for travel between 1 October 2009 and 18 November 2009 and is not available on all flights on all days.

Jetstar Chief Executive Officer Bruce Buchanan said, Our proposed greater alignment between Jetstar, Jetstar Asia and Valuair is already providing new flying opportunities for our customers to access more low fares to more places in the region.

This new daily Singapore-Bangkok service will be the first of future planned growth in Jetstar Group low fare services into and across Asia through better alignment of our airline businesses.

Jetstar backs its every day low fares commitment to customers with a Price Beat Guarantee, which means when booking on Jetstar at a similar date or time the airline will beat any competitor by 10% (terms and conditions apply).

Every day JetSaver one way fares at Jetstar.com between Singapore-Bangkok start from Sin$38++.

The new service is subject to government approvals.
