Singapore Airlines Cargo launches Flights to Latin America

Singapore Airlines Cargo recently launched flights to the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, Quito in Ecuador, and Bogota in Colombia.

The airline is operating the services under a special approval granted by the aviation authorities in these countries.

“Singapore Airlines Cargo can play an important role in connecting the expanding Latin American market with other major markets in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. We want to assure our customers that it is our plan to make our presence here a permanent one and we will work very closely with relevant authorities with a view to secure the necessary approvals to serve the Latin American markets with scheduled freighter flights,” emphasized Mr Tan Tiow Kor, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing.

Sao Paulo is the industrial commercial and financial capital of Brazil and is the largest city in South America. It is also known for its vibrant and diversified culture.

Quito, the capital of Ecuador, at 2,850 meters above sea level is the second highest administrative capital in the world. It is also a major gateway for imports and exports.

Bogota, the capital city of Colombia, is a major centre for import and export of goods for the country and the Andean community in Latin America.
