Singapore Airlines Cargo recently launched flights to
the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, Quito in Ecuador, and Bogota in
Colombia.
The airline is operating the services under a
special approval granted by the aviation authorities in these
countries.
“Singapore Airlines Cargo can play an important
role in connecting the expanding Latin American market with other
major markets in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. We
want to assure our customers that it is our plan to make our
presence here a permanent one and we will work very closely with
relevant authorities with a view to secure the necessary approvals
to serve the Latin American markets with scheduled freighter
flights,” emphasized Mr Tan Tiow Kor, Senior Vice President Sales
and Marketing.
Sao Paulo is the industrial commercial and
financial capital of Brazil and is the largest city in South
America. It is also known for its vibrant and diversified culture.
