The Waterhouse at South Bund in Shanghai, scheduled to open in early 2010,
has appointed veteran hotelier Xavier Lim as
General Manager.
Lim, who has more than 15 years of hospitality
management experience, most recently served as the Executive Assistant
Manager at Millennium Hongqiao Hotel in Shanghai. Prior to
the Millennium Hongqiao, Lim was the Director of Catering and
Conference Services at The Portman Ritz Carlton, Shanghai and has held
other
managerial positions at some of the finest properties in Asia,
including The Regent Shanghai, Shangri-la Hotel Singapore, Grand
Hyatt Singapore, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore and
Tung Lok Group.
Lim graduated with honor’s degree from
Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, majoring in both Travel
Industry Management and Marketing. He also received management
certificates from the Singapore Hotel Association Training &
Educational Centre.
