Construction of three new 83-room Microtel Inns
& Suites hotels in Texas is scheduled to begin on 2 January 2010
with ceremonial groundbreakings all on the same day. The hotels
are a joint venture of International Hospitality Development
Alliances and Longhorn Lodging Partners of Texas.
Located near Dell’s corporate headquarters in Round Rock, adjacent
to Cabela’s in Buda, and within two miles of SeaWorld in San
Antonio, the three new hotels representing an investment of $21
million are being built by Galaxy Commercial Services of San
Antonio, Texas and will consist of single and double rooms as well
as suite accommodations.
Highlights and amenities
of the new hotels will include 42” flat panel televisions,
Microtel’s signature Dreamwell bedding package, cappuccino
interior design scheme, swimming pools, hot tubs, fitness centers
and the area’s first solar carports, through an agreement with iPark Solar, that will provide up to 30% of the facilities’
electrical energy needs.
“We are excited to be
expanding the Microtel Inns & Suites brand into central Texas with
the development of these outstanding hotels and look forward to
welcoming both business and leisure travelers when they open on
1 July 2010,” said Ted Torres, chief executive officer for
International Hospitality Development Alliances.
