Japan Airlines is offer customers codeshare flights
operated by British Airways (BA) from London (Heathrow) to Lisbon, as
well as to 4 destinations in the United Kingdom; Aberdeen, Edinburgh,
Glasgow and Newcastle. The codesharing flights are scheduled to start
from January 14, 2009.
With these new codeshare flights, JAL connects Japan to a total of 31 cities in Europe on 43
routes. Cities already served are as follows: Amsterdam, Barcelona,
Berlin, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Helsinki,
London, Lyons, Madrid, Manchester, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Nice, Oslo,
Rome, Paris, Prague, Rome, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Warsaw and Zurich.
Japan Airlines and British Airways - both members of the oneworld
alliance - first started codesharing in February, 2004. This latest codeshare
agreement further expands JAL's Japan- Europe network by providing
smooth connections with minimal transit time from Lisbon and the UK
cities onto daily services operated by the airline between London
(Heathrow) and Japan.
