Heuwekemeijer joins Carlson as Director of Operations and Pre-Opening Services Asia Pacific

Carlson Hotels Worldwide – Asia Pacific has appointed Arne Heuwekemeijer as Director of Operations and Pre-Opening Services.

Heuwekemeijer is responsible for pre-opening processes for CHW-AP properties, as well as directing and overseeing operational aspects of the hotels. He will also play an integral part in building strong relationships, and working closely with hotel owners, developers, and the design and construction team.

A graduate from the Hotel Management School Leeuwarden in the Netherlands, the Dutch industry veteran has an outstanding professional track-record, having worked in various leading hotels in China and Europe.

In his previous role, Heuwekemeijer was Executive Assistant Manager/ Food and Beverage at the Radisson Hotel Shanghai New World, an upscale full-service hotel which is part of CHW-AP’s expanding portfolio in Asia.

Prior to this, he was the Director of Food and Beverage at the Grand Mercure Baolong Hotel and the Sofitel Hyland Shanghai. Heuwekemeijer was also the Director of Sales for four years at the Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai.
