To help encourage tourists to return
to Thailand, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts is starting 2009 by opening
its doors to a global marketing initiative, beginning with a
collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Fourteen years ago, Banyan Tree
Group’s first flagship property was launched in Thailand. Banyan
Tree Phuket offered innovative private pool villas and garden spa
pavilions, followed by 60-storey Banyan Tree Bangkok, a premier
city hotel. With Banyan Tree Koh Samui expected to be revealed in
late 2009, the group will offer three distinct and memorable
experiences of the beautiful Thai kingdom.
Director of Sales and
Marketing, Ms Sunee U-Thaikittisup from Banyan Tree Bangkok, said,
“With our historic strong ties in this country, we are very upbeat
about Thailand’s potential and are confident that tourists will
return. Thailand has so much to offer and Banyan Tree would like
to give that additional incentive to draw new and old guests back
to Phuket and Bangkok. We are pleased to be working with the
Tourism Authority of Thailand in this campaign, to ensure that the
public are aware of the many valuable experiences and amazing
deals that are waiting for them.”
Tourism Authority of Thailand’s
Mr. Santichai Euachongprasit, Deputy Governor for International
Marketing, is similarly upbeat about Thailand’s recovery in 2009.
He said, “Our experience with other crises has shown us how to
cope, by helping each other. Everyone in the tourism industry is
working hard to get Thailand smiling again. We welcome Banyan
Tree’s efforts to contribute to the growth of Thailand’s tourism
industry and build traveller confidence in these challenging
times.”
A total of 1000 complimentary
room nights at Banyan Tree Bangkok and Banyan Tree Phuket will be
disbursed online from 8 – 31 January 2009. The offer entitles
guests who book online, to one complimentary night’s stay on the
consecutive night at the Best Available Rates that are only found
online.
Stays will be valid from 1
February 2009 to 30 April 2009 (both dates inclusive).
