which highlights unusual investment opportunities. Faber is also the
author of several books, including “Tomorrow’s Gold – Asia’s Age
of Discovery” which was first published in 2002 and highlights
future investment opportunities around the world. “Tomorrow’s Gold” was for several weeks on Amazon’s best seller list and has
been translated into Japanese, Korean, Thai and German. Dr. Faber
is also a regular contributor to several leading financial
publications around the world.
A regular speaker at various
investment seminars, Dr Faber is well known for his “contrarian”
investment approach. He is also associated with a variety of
funds.
“We are very fortunate and pleased to have Dr. Faber
presenting at the special 20th anniversary HICAP. Given the
uncertainties regarding the economic outlook affecting the
region’s hotel markets, Dr. Faber’s presentation is intended to
assist industry decision making delegates in their planning for
2010,” said Robert Hecker, Managing Director of Horwath HTL.
HICAP is one of Asia’s most prominent and longest running hotel
investment conferences. It brings strategic insights to investors,
financiers, developers and leading industry professionals about
the developments, changes and opportunities in the region. HICAP
takes place every October in Hong Kong and last year attracted
nearly 800 delegates from around the globe.
In May 2009,
HICAP launched two new events in Singapore and Tokyo, which are
focused, mid-year gatherings of the hotel investment community and
which expand the HICAP reach into Southeast Asia and Japan. Over
400 international delegates attended the events. Dates for the
2010 HICAP Update Southeast Asia and HICAP Update Japan had not
yet been confirmed at press time.
