India's Kingfisher Airlines has launched direct
flights between Pune and Goa. The flights
operate 6 out of 7 days a week with no flights on Saturdays.
The flights between Pune and Goa
are being operated as Kingfisher Red service. The Kingfisher Red service features complimentary hot
food and a choice of beverages, reading material, frequent
flier privileges and multiple check-in facilities.
The
flights being operated using ATR
aircraft are conveniently timed. Flight IT 2801 departs
from Pune at 12 noon to arrive in Goa at 1:15pm. The return
flight, IT 2802 takes off from Goa at 1:45pm to arrive in Pune at
3pm and then fly onwards to Indore to land there at 4:50pm.
Commenting on the launch of the new sector, Mr. Prakash
Mirpuri, Vice President-Corporate Communications, The UB Group
said, “The launch of this route marks the first time ever that
any airline is operating flights between these two cities. With
our competitive fares and excellent onward connectivity, we expect
that these flights will offer tourists, corporate travelers,
students and other leisure and casual travelers a convenient
option. This new direct flight will offer travelers from Goa an
easier and more convenient way to get to Shirdi and neighboring
holiday destinations like Lonavala, Khandala and Mahabaleshwar
amongst others.”
