Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Monday, 6 July 2009

Rezidor, one of the fastest growing hotel companies worldwide, has signed its first Park Inn hotel in Tunisia and its 25th property on the African continent.

The Park Inn Ulysse Resort & Thalasso, Djerba featuring 259 rooms is scheduled to open its doors in November 2009.

Located next to the existing Radisson Blu Resort & Thalasso, the Park Inn Ulysse Resort & Thalasso enjoys a prime location on one of North Africa’s most beautiful coastlines.

Besides 259 colourful rooms (all with private terrace or balcony), the hotel will offer 9 food and beverage outlets including a local Tunisian style restaurant & café, barbeque & grill and beach restaurant & bar - ideal places to relax and enjoy during the day or to dine and gently sip the warm evenings away.

The resort earns its name from the 3,500m² Thalasso and spa. With indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness area, 4 tennis courts, kid’s club and beach club, and several water sports options, this resort is a paradise for the sunseekers.

Golfers can improve their handicap at the nearby Djerba Golf Club with three 9-hole courses, while sightseeing options include Houmt-Souq, Djerba’s capital with traditional souks, many mosques and the ancient fortress.

Djerba is just a short ferry ride from Tunisia’s mainland. The international airport of the island is 19 kilometres away from the new Park Inn hotel.
