Richard Senior joins Best Western as Group Director of Sales & Marketing - Dubai

Best Western International has appointed Richard Senior as Group Director of Sales & Marketing for Best Western Premier Creek & Best Western Premier Dhow Palace Hotels in Dubai.

Directly in charge of sales, marketing, public relations, banquet sales, communications, revenue and the reservation functions for both hotels with a combined 492 rooms, Senior will lead a team of 16 personnel across these departments.

Commenting on his appointment, Richard Senior said, “for me it is a landmark move to Best Western’s first hotels in Dubai and the UAE and I am very much looking forward to the challenge of directing commercial operations. The Best Western Premier Dhow Palace has already carved a niche amongst business and tourist travelers for excellent standards of service and amenities. Additionally, the opportunity to be opening Best Western’s first new property in Dubai is very exciting for me.”

With over 17 years in the industry, Senior moved from his recent position as Director Business Development at the 4-star Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre Hotels in Dubai, where he looked after all aspects of the two hotels’ commercial operations.

Prior to that, in 2006, he was General Manager for The Holiday Inn Kensington London, where he oversaw hotel operations.

Senior’s sparkling career is dotted with accolades and an excellent work record. Between 2002 and 2004, when he was Director of Sales & Marketing for City Inn, Westminster, the hotel was awarded Design Hotel of the Year 2003, followed by the Best New Hotel 2004 and Best Group Hotel 2004/05. Prior to this, Senior was Director of Sales at London’s Royal Garden Hotel, when it was awarded the prestigious AA Five ‘Red’ Star award, one of only twenty hotels in the UK to hold this honor.

Senior’s expertise is founded on his experience coming through the ranks in some of London’s luxury landmarks including Radisson SAS Portman, The Westbury, Dukes Hotels and Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane.
