Kuwait-based Wataniya Airways has launched daily scheduled
flights to Beirut – Rafik Hariri International Airport in Lebanon.
“We are delighted to have been able to select
Beirut as the second destination for Wataniya Airways as our
research has indicated this to be one of the most popular routes
for travellers from Kuwait,” said Wataniya Airways Chairman,
Abdulsalam Al Bahar. “Beirut is one of the most vibrant cities in
the Middle East, offering a plethora of benefits from business to
culture to popular entertainment.”
Wataniya Airways now flies from the Sheikh Saad
terminal to Beirut and Dubai and this week also adds
Cairo and Bahrain to its network.
George Cooper, CEO of Wataniya
Airways said, “The recent delivery of another Airbus A320 aircraft has
allowed us to strengthen our short haul network and provide our
guests with more choice, convenient schedules and an enhanced
travel experience.”
In Beirut, Wataniya Airways has appointed
leading aviation, hospitality and travel advisor, Planet Group, as
its General Sales Agent (GSA).
The airline’s new Airbus 320 aircraft features
122 seats which helps to ensure excellent leg room and comfort
throughout its First Class and Premium Economy cabins.
