The Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed
Fabien Linsay as General Manager of the Parkroyal Serviced Suites
and Pan Pacific Serviced Suites in Singapore. François Sigrist has
also been appointed as General Manager of the Parkroyal Penang in
Malaysia.
In his new role, Fabien will oversee operations
at Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s two serviced residences properties
in Singapore. Parkroyal Serviced Suites, located on Beach Road,
recently completed a Sin$3.1 million refurbishment and features
new enhanced facilities and interiors.
Fabien boasts extensive
hospitality experience that spans countries including Australia,
Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.
He has held several appointments with the Ascott Group in its
corporate office, as well as in regional and general management
roles, which included the opening of two properties in Dubai.
With
Millennium & Copthorne, he was the General Manager at the
Millennium
Resort Patong and was responsible for the opening of the 421-room
property. His last appointment was General Manager at the Changi
Village Hotel, Singapore.
“Cultivating the
extended-stay business segment is a key focus and we are confident
that Fabien, with his wealth of experience in this field, will
steer our teams toward success,” said Mr. A. Patrick Imbardelli,
President and CEO, Pan Pacific Hotels Group. “These properties
herald the beginning of our extended-stay developments; we are
excited about the prospects of such projects already underway in
key Asian cities like Bangkok.”
Part of the upscale
Eight Thonglor development (located between Sukhumvit Soi 55 and
Petchaburi Road) in the heart of Bangkok, Pan Pacific Serviced
Suites Bangkok, is slated to open in September this year.
The company has also appointed
François Sigrist as
General Manager of the Parkroyal Penang in Malaysia.
An established hotelier since 1981,
François’ previous appointments were with hotel companies such as
Four Seasons, Shangri-La and InterContinental. A Swiss national,
François’ geographically diverse experience spans Geneva,
Switzerland and USA to Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. His last
position was at Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa in Langkawi,
Malaysia.
His appointment at Parkroyal Penang also brings
François back to the state he previously spent nearly a decade at
as General Manager at Equatorial Hotel. François’ love for Penang,
as well as his intimate knowledge of the popular holiday
destination, are invaluable in his new position.
“Pan Pacific Hotels Group offers
tremendous growth opportunities. I look forward to contributing to
the success of Parkroyal Penang, a resort with remarkable
potential,” said François Sigrist. “I am confident that with the
talented team in place, we can raise the benchmarks of
excellence even higher.”
