The London Marriott Hotel Twickenham has opened
six luxury suites with a birds eye view of the hallowed turf at
Twickenham, the home of English Rugby. Those following their teams
- whether from Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, South Africa,
France, Italy and Ireland to London or elsewhere - now have the
ultimate place to stay and enjoy the action.
The suites, named after
six Grand Slam-winning England captains, include a private
dining/seating area, plus separate bedroom, both with views of the
pitch. Each suite has access to a private seating area within Twickenhams South Stand.
The new London Marriott Hotel Twickenham opened
in spring 2009. Bedrooms in the suites feature a King Size bed, dressed
with Marriotts signature luxury bedding package, including
300-thread-count sheets made from Egyptian cotton, down comforters
and thicker mattresses. There is also a luxury bathroom and
separate cloakroom. The contemporary design for the suites
includes subtle details in carpets and artwork paying tribute to
the hotels rugby heritage.
Other key features include flat screen satellite
TV, in-room safe, individual mini bar, iron and ironing board and
coffee and tea making facilities, plus dedicated work area with
flexible work desk and high speed internet access. Guests can also
access the 24 hour room service menu.
Pitch view suites are available from 299 per
room, per, night, subject to availability and excluding domestic
and international games. They are also available for hire for
private meetings for around ten people.
The 156-room London Marriott Hotel Twickenham is
part of Twickenham Stadiums South Stand development. Located just
six miles from Heathrow Airport, the hotel is accessible via
Twickenham railway station, just 20 minutes from central London by
car and very near local attractions such as Hampton Court Palace,
Kew Gardens and the River Thames.
