The Cornell Nanyang Institute of Hospitality
Management (CNI) is endorsing the Gaming Executive Summit, which
takes place at the Grand Hyatt in Singapore this week.
Dr Russell Arthur Smith, the interim Dean of CNI
will speak on a panel that discusses diversifying and growing
non-gaming revenue streams by tapping into the MICE, hotels,
retail, F&B and entertainment businesses. He represents CNI
alongside representatives from the hospitality organizations
including Cirque du Soleil Asia, Menu Pte Ltd, St James Holdings,
and Taubman Asia.
During this panel session which takes
place today (3 December 2009), Dr Smith together with the
hospitality industry leaders and professionals will assess
customers' demographics of comprehensive leisure and entertainment
resorts, such as income range, spending levels and frequency of
visitation to boost incremental non-gaming revenue, and examine
the optimal size and mix of amenities in attracting non-gaming
customer base through different marketing channels and strategies
to reach out to specific customer segments and increase revenue.
GESA 2009 is an established gaming event that
brings together casino owners, operators and developers,
investors, fund managers, policy makers, regulators, financial
institutions and service providers to discuss industry trends,
