Travelport GDS has signed a new, multi-year full content agreement with Greek carrier, Aegean Airlines.

Under the new agreement, the airline will provide all Travelport GDS-connected travel agents around the world with its full, published inventory, including its former web only fares.

Robin Ranken, Business Development Director for Travelport GDS, said, “Aegean Airlines has grown exponentially over the last few years and is the largest airline in Greece in terms of passenger volume. We are delighted to have secured this full content agreement with them and be the first GDS to offer their web only fares to our travel agency customers.”

Aegean Airlines operates 47 domestic and international routes with more than 200 daily flights. It uses brand new Airbus A320s and A321s and by May 2009, its scheduled fleet will have an average age of only two years.

Mr. Dimitris Gerogiannis, Managing Director of Aegean Airlines, said, “As a result of this new commercial agreement, Travelport will be distributing our full range of content through their very extensive worldwide network of travel agency customers, including the fares we previously only made available on our own website. We believe the extent of their global footprint will really help us to achieve our ambitious growth plans in the months and years ahead.”
