The Celadon Palace Hotel in Hue, Vietnam, is
celebrating its first Christmas by “resurrecting the romance and
grace of a bygone era” in imperial and colonial Indochinese style
with festive entertainment, glittering decorations, street
markets, banquets and promotional packages.
The hotel, inspired by an Indochine ‘Noble
House’, started the celebrations on the first Sunday of Advent,
November 29, with a Ginger Bread House and Santa giving presents
to children in the lobby from 5-6pm, and carol singing from
6.15pm. The tradition continues every Sunday in the run-up to
Christmas.
A Festive Season Bazaar from December 19 to
January 2 features street market bargains, local delicacies and
socializing with locals and travellers amid a sea of lights and
festive holiday decorations.
Christmas Eve Dinner priced at US$18 per person
at La Brasserie features a 5-course menu including prime
Australian beef, Norwegian salmon and sinful Vietnamese desserts,
including a festive gift from Santa.
Christmas Day Dinner is a 5-course feast at La
Brasserie priced at US$18. New Years Eve Gala at US$45 celebrates
the countdown to 2010 with a dinner buffet and an exciting
entertainment program including an international live band.
A festive season 'Luxury Package' is also on
offer. Two nights including breakfast, lunch and choice of
Christmas Eve Dinner or Christmas Day Dinner is priced at US$90
per person, complete with butler service, from December 24-26.
To welcome the New Year, a 'Suite Package' for
two from now to March 31, 2010, is being sold at US$175 for two
nights or US$250 for three nights for two persons, including
breakfast, airport transfers and VIP welcome with a 30% discount
at all restaurants.
