Passengers traveling from Singapore to Dubai on
Emirates will soon have the option to take a day flight, instead of a
midnight flight.
From 2 February 2009, the new daylight flight,
EK433, departs Singapore at 0940 hours and arrives in Dubai at
1300 hours.
Previously operated as a midnight flight
departing Singapore at 0250 hours, the daily flight spells good
news for business and leisure travelers who prefer to start off
their journey in the morning, after a good night’s rest at home,
and arrive in Dubai in time for their afternoon meetings or to
begin their exploration of the city.
Europe-bound transit passengers on EK433 can
also move on swiftly to catch Emirates’ second wave of connecting
flights to Europe in the afternoon.
This new schedule complements Emirates’ existing
14 weekly flights to Dubai, which departs Singapore between 0010
hours and 0220 hours, and arrives in Dubai between 0420 hours and
0545 hours.
Mr Stephen Chu, Emirates’ Country Manager for
Singapore and Brunei, said, “We do have many passengers who like
midnight flights, as they can catch some rest onboard our aircraft
and arrive in Dubai with a full day ahead of them for business or
leisure. However, there are also passengers who prefer getting a
full night’s sleep at home first before embarking on a morning
flight and arriving at their destination in the afternoon. We are
pleased to be able to offer both services to our passengers and we
believe that our daylight flights will be warmly received by
Singapore travelers.”
The daylight flight is operated on Emirates’
state-of-the-art Boeing 777-300ER. The aircraft includes 12
forward-facing flat-bed massage seats in First Class “Private
Suites”, separated by wide isles in a 2-2-2 configuration.
Business Class travellers can enjoy the lie-flat massage seats
with a 72″ pitch that reclines to form a 78″ lie-flat bed and
provides ample room for taller passengers. The aircraft features
an Integrated Passenger Seat Controller (touch screen) for
controlling massager, privacy partition, backrest recline, seat
pan extension, footrest extension, leg rest extension and lumbar
support.
