May Pendraat joins Marco Polo Hotels as Area Director of Marketing

Ms May Pendraat has been appointed Area Director of Marketing for Marco Polo Hotels, Hong Kong.

Ms Pendraat was previously with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts where she led a dynamic career successfully spearheading Sales and Marketing divisions for the groups properties in Macau, Hong Kong, Australia, and China.

Her 20 years with the Hyatt group took her on key assignments that included the posts Director of Sales for Grand Hyatt Hong Kong from 1996 to 2003 and Director of Marketing for Hyatt Regency Perth in Australia from 2003 to 2007. Prior to joining Marco Polo Hotels, Ms Pendraat was based in Mainland China as Director of Marketing for Park Hyatt Shanghai.

In her new capacity as Area Director of Marketing for Marco Polo Hotels in Hong Kong, Ms Pendraat holds overall responsibility for the strategic direction and implementation of marketing and communication efforts to support business growth and profitability for the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, Prince, and Gateway.

Ms Pendraat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management from Florida International University, Miami, Florida, USA.

Of Hong Kong Chinese descent and Dutch parentage, Ms Pendraat is also a naturalized Australian citizen. She is fluent in spoken and written English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
