To celebrate the future launch of flights between
Singapore and Penang,
Jetstar Asia is offering 88,000 f(r)ee seats to all its destinations in
Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang.
The sale will run until midnight 29 April and is available for travel between 1 July
2009 and 25 March 2010.
Travellers do have to pay prevailing taxes of Sin$28 (airport) per way
as well as admin and insurance charges which range from Sin$7 to Sin$17
per sector.
Jetstar Asia has confirmed that,
subject to regulatory approval, it will commence a
daily flight to Penang on 1 July 2009.
The from 1 October
2009 Jetstar A320 services on the Singapore-Penang route would
then expand to double daily.
Mr Zalizam Zakaria, Director of Tourism Malaysia in Singapore
said, "We wish to congratulate Jetstar Asia for its flights to
Penang. This will definitely facilitate and encourage more
Singaporean as well as expatriates living here in Singapore to
visit Penang which is well known as the Pearl of Orient.”
The launch of
Jetstar’s latest Malaysian service from 1 July 2009 will bring
Jetstar Asia’s flights between Singapore and Malaysia to
up to 88 weekly services.
