Hogg Robinson has appointed Greg Treasure as Managing Director of HRG Australia.

Industry veteran Carl Buerckner has chosen to leave HRG Australia to pursue early retirement plans. He will be succeeded as Managing Director by Greg Treasure, until recently HRG's General Manager in Hong Kong, who brings extensive experience to the role both from an operational perspective and his knowledge of the Asia Pacific region.

Reporting to Kevin Ruffles, President Asia Pacific, Treasure will be based in Melbourne from where he will have overall responsibility for HRG Australia as well as being a member of the Asia Pacific Regional Executive Management Team.

During his time in Hong Kong, Treasure streamlined processes to improve efficiency and productivity whilst simultaneously improving the quality of service to our clients. His energy was rewarded with a high retention of both clients and staff, and in securing new business.

Kevin Ruffles said. "While he has been with our company, Carl has been instrumental in the formation of HRG Australia and its evolution to the point where it became part of Hogg Robinson plc in 1998, and under his leadership has positioned HRG as one of the leaders in corporate travel services companies in Australia. We would like to thank him warmly for his contribution to the success of HRG Australia and wish him every success for the future."

"Australia is an important market for HRG and we are delighted to be able to welcome Greg Treasure to his new role. His passion for the business had a positive impact on our operation in Hong Kong and I have no doubt that his enviable skills will bring significant benefits to our clients, our staff and our industry partners in Australia, leading HRG Australia to continued success," Ruffles added.
