Oman Air has increased its general baggage allowance. The new allowances are 30kg for Economy Class passengers, 40kg for Business Class passengers and 50kg for First Class passengers. The increased allowances apply to Oman Airs flights to each of its 34 destinations, throughout the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and Asia.

In addition, premium members of Oman Airs frequent flyer programme will continue to receive additional allowances of 20kg for Gold members and 15kg for Silver members.

Abdulrazaq Alraisi, Senior Manager Sales, Oman Air, said, This increase in Oman Airs general baggage allowance is an advancement to meet the growing demands of our passengers. It is a way of both thanking our regular customers for their loyal support and to encourage new passengers to switch to Oman Air. At a time when other airlines are limiting their baggage allowance and introducing fees for seat selections we are committed to putting our customers first. By increasing our baggage allowances at a time we are introducing new routes, new aircraft with new cabin features, we are showing our determination to invest in the total passenger experience and ensure that Oman Air is the airline of choice for all.

The increase in general baggage allowances follows the launch of new routes to Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Colombo and Male, in the Maldives.
