Hertz Australia launches Mobile Phone and PDA Web Access

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 25 February 2009

Hertz Australia has expanded access to its popular web check-in service, to offer access via mobile telephones, Blackberry or other PDA devices.

Travellers can now make or change reservations for Hertz vehicles simply by accessing hertz.com.au via a mobile device, which will immediately divert to a mobile booking site.

“When travelling, either for business or for leisure, every minute counts,” said Wayne Burgoyne, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hertz Australia.

“Business travellers need to maximise their productive working time, while those on holidays want to make the most of their time off work,” said Mr Burgoyne.

“Our new mobile service now enables travellers to book a Hertz car or change a reservation wherever they are, without having to set up a laptop computer or find a desktop PC in somebody’s office.”

In addition to offering web access to Hertz reservations, the new mobile service also offers access to the best web rates for Hertz car rental.

The new Hertz mobile service also allows members to change their #1 Club or # 1 Club Gold loyalty programme details while on the road, in between meetings or sitting in an airport, awaiting a flight.

Hertz offers more than 8100 locations in almost 150 countries, including over 210 locations in Australia and more than 50 in New Zealand.
