China Airlines offering Mileage Discounts to Dynasty Flyers

To celebrate its upcoming 50th Anniversary, China Airlines is offering generously discounted mileage redemptions to its frequent flyer members as a reward for their support.

From today, and until September 30, 2009, China Airlines Dynasty Flyer members will be eligible to earn a seat upgrade or a free ticket on long-haul flights with only half the number of accumulated air miles that are normally required.

The eligible long-haul routes include flights between Asia and North America (Guam excluded), the Middle East, Europe and Australia, and between Tokyo and Honolulu.

In January, CAL offered its Dynasty flyers similar mileage discounts for upgrades and award tickets on short-haul flights. Since then, applications have increased almost 60% compared with the same period last year. As a result of the positive feedback, China Airlines extended the reward program discounts to include long-haul flights.

The offer is subject to availability, which will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis.
