Boat Asia 2009, a fast growing leisure boat and luxury
waterfront lifestyle event, is to be held for the second year running at
the world-class Marina at Keppel Bay in Singapore from 23 April – 26
April 2009.
Targeted at boating enthusiasts in and
around the region, Boat Asia 2009 will bring to Singapore shores the
crème de la crème of luxury motor boats, sail boats, catamarans and mega
yachts from leading brands including Maritimo, Riviera, Marquis,
Leopard, Macgregor, Fountaine Pajot, and Riva amongst others.
The event will also see the debut of boating masterpieces such as the Riviera
4400SY, SportsRiva 56, Moorings – Leopard 47 Powercat, Marquis 420 Sport
Coupe, as well as the Fontaine Pajot Salina 48.
For those who prefer to
stay on land, speed boats, jet skis, sailing yachts, marine equipment
and accessories, luxury resorts and properties will also be exhibited on
land.
In line with the luxury lifestyle theme, guests
will be able to enjoy a wide array of activities ranging from yoga and dance
performances to an on-water fashion show.
Those who are more inclined to
take advantage of the tranquil waters off Keppel Bay will have the
opportunity to indulge in free sailing trials offered by Keppel Bay
Sailing Academy and RSYC Sea Sports Academy.
Visitors who are looking
for some excitement at the show can test their skills at maneuvering RC
sailboats during the “RC Sailing Competition”.
Specially invited
high-net worth individuals will be able to benefit from exclusive access to the
Island Suite, a VIP lounge with a panoramic view of the marina.
Helping the less fortunate will the
focus of
the Charity Gala Dinner which will be held at the Shangri-la Hotel on
Friday, 24 April 2009. Following the success of last year’s charity
auction, funds raised from this year’s Gala Dinner will be donated to
The Straits Times (ST) School Pocket Money Fund, which helps an average
of 7,500 children annually pay for meals at school, bus-fare or
stationery.
Herman Ho, Managing Director, TMX Show
Productions, said, “Despite the less than rosy economic outlook, the
response we have been receiving from exhibitors has been
very encouraging so far. We also have some beautiful
boats making their Asian and Singapore debut at Boat
Asia 2009, so visitors are going to be in for a visual
and sensorial treat. Therefore, I am confident that this
year’s show will be just as or even more exciting that
last years”.
Visitors to
Boat Asia 2009 will also gain complimentary entry to the Asia Dive Expo
(ADEX) 2009, Asia's longest running dive exhibition which will be held
concurrently with Boat Asia for the first time this year. Showcasing the
latest in dive equipment, resorts and lifestyle products, ADEX is set to
add a new dimension to this year’s boat show.
Boat Asia will be open between 13:00 -
21:00 (Thursday - Saturday) and 12:00 - 19:00 on Sunday.
