Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s new premium service
airline, has appointed David Evans as Chief Commercial Officer. He
brings over thirty years of international expertise and experience to
the airline.
Mr.
Evans previously held the position of Chief Operating Office at Zambian
Airways, where he was appointed by the United Nations under the UNDP
programme to establish the airline as a viable carrier. Prior to this
role, Mr. Evans honed his aviation skills over thirty years inside
British Airways where he advanced his career to Managing Director of BA
Connect followed by Managing Director of BA CityFlyer.
“Wataniya
Airways offers a truly unique flying experience and I am pleased to be
associated with this unique new venture,” said David Evans, Chief
Commercial Officer for Wataniya Airways. “I am proud to be joining the
team at such an exciting stage of its development and am looking forward
to utilising my international experiences in the Kuwaiti market which
has so much potential.”
Wataniya Airways commenced its
commercial flight schedule at the end of January 2009
and now flies to a range of popular Middle East
destinations, including Dubai, Beirut, Cairo and
Bahrain.
