China Southern Airlines has launched a 14-times
daily service between its hub in Guangzhou and Wuhan. The launch
of new services mark the launch of mobile phone boarding and the
2nd generation identity card boarding service in Wuhan Tianhe
airport.
The airline now operates the Guangzhou-Wuhan air express route every
one hour from 8 am to 10 pm each day. The airline offers exclusive
check-in counter and boarding gate, a dedicated security channel,
and exclusive services such as a baggage claim area for
passengers, which makes the boarding process more efficient and
convenient. Passengers only need to check in 30 minutes before
takeoff. A 16-times daily service to Changsha in Hunan province is
already in operation.
To simplify the boarding process, China
Southern airlines has extended online check-in, SMS check-in and
mobile phone boarding services in Guangzhou Baiyun International
Airport and launched the 2nd generation identity card
boarding service in Wuhan Tianhe airport.

•390 yuan or up for single trip if purchasing
15 days before departure •790 yuan or up for round trip if
purchasing 5 days before departure •free re-routing for
passengers who enjoy 50% or up discount in Guangzhou-Wuhan,
Shenzhen-Wuhan, Zhuhai-Wuhan route
For international
connection passengers from Wuhan via Guangzhou:
•890 yuan or up
for single trip to southeast Asia if purchasing 60 days before
departure •1890 yuan or up for single trip to Europe, America,
Australia if purchasing 60 days before departure •free ticket
for Wuhan to Guangzhou if purchasing round-trip tickets from
Guangzhou to Europe, America, Australia
Mr. Tan Wan Geng,
president of China Southern Airlines, said , “in response to
the pressure from high-speed railway, we increased the density of
shuttle flights in Guangzhou-Wuhan and Guangzhou-Changsha route,
lowered the fares and simplified the boarding process to better
serve our customers.”
Talking about the newly initiated
high-speed railway, he then added that, “in the long run, the
coming of high-speed railway age is rather an opportunity than
challenge to our airline company. China Southern is expecting
cooperations with the railway company to extend the market and
develop more packaged travel products for the passengers.”
