Rendezvous Hospitality Group (RHG) has put
together a new senior management team which will support the
recently appointed CEO, Mr Iqbal Jumabhoy in implementing the new
corporate direction of the Hotel Group.
RHG has plans to become a
leading regional player in the business hotel segment, with
expansion to over 12,000 rooms in the Asia Pacific region by 2020
and over Sin$190 million (A$147 million) to be invested. The
senior management team, which will be based at corporate
headquarters in Singapore by early 2010, will be responsible for
driving the growth plans of RHG and restructuring the organisations current assets.

qualified industry leaders, with years of experience in a range of
organisations and countries. We are confident that this vast pool
of talent will be able to lead RHG successfully into this new
chapter, said Mr Jumabhoy.

Management team consists of:
Iqbal Jumabhoy as CEO:
Appointed in March 2009, Mr Jumabhoy has experience in a number of
industries, including banking, hospitality, real estate and
corporate management. He has served on listed company boards
internationally and was most recently Executive Vice
President/Group Chief Financial Officer at The East Asiatic
Company (EAC), a Danish listed corporation with operations in Asia
and South America. He was responsible for finance, information
systems, investor relations, restructuring and strategy. Mr
Jumabhoy was named best CFO in Denmark in 2003 and 2005 by
investors and analysts.
Previously, Mr Jumabhoy was
Executive Director and COO of Scotts Holdings Ltd. (now called the
Ascott Group Ltd.), a Singapore listed property development and
management group, which is now one of the worlds largest serviced
apartment owners and operators.
Sean Flynn as
Executive Vice President of Operations: Mr Flynn will oversee the
operations of all hotels in the group as well as pre-opening,
operational training, and purchasing activities. Mr Flynn is a 27
year hospitality veteran, having held senior positions in the
hotel, serviced apartment and restaurant franchise industries in
Asia, Canada, the USA, and the Caribbean.
Eddy Tan
as Chief Financial Officer: Mr Tan joined RHG in September 2009
and is responsible for the finance, tax, and treasury functions of
the group. Mr Tan has more than 25 years of financial management
experience and has worked in the information technology and
telecommunications industries in both Singapore and the United
States.
Woolsey McKernon as Senior Vice President
of Property: Mr McKernon will be responsible for managing all real
estate-related projects within RHG, including owned, leased and
managed properties, ensuring that the brand and operational
requirements are translated into the physical product. Mr McKernon
will use his 20 years of experience in the real estate development
and construction industries to spearhead a large capital works
program envisioned for RHGs existing portfolio.
Michael Meade as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing:
Coming from a similar role with the former RHI for the past 2
years, Mr Meade will be responsible for driving brand development,
sales, distribution and promotion for the Group. An industry
veteran, Mr Meade has held a number of senior positions with major
hospitality brands, including the InterContinental Hotels Group,
ITT Sheraton, SPHC and All Seasons Hotels and has lived and worked
in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and China.
Patrick Sheehan as Senior Vice President of Human
Resources: Mr Sheehan will oversee the selection and development
of the groups people, innovative learning and talent management
strategies as well as the growth of RHGs dynamic corporate
culture. Mr Sheehan brings more than 25 years experience in human
resource management across several industries to the role,
including hospitality, professional services, retail and wholesale
and has worked in India, Saudi Arabia, China, Fiji and Australia.
Tim Etheridge as Senior Vice President Information
Technology: Mr Etheridge will oversee the full spectrum of
information services delivery across the group, including data centres, application vendors and distribution technologies. Mr
Etheridge has over 17 years in information systems consulting and
management and extensive experience in web technologies and online
hotel distribution in Australia.
Sudarshan Dhuru as
Regional Finance Controller: Mr Dhuru will oversee controlling,
consolidation, management reporting, planning and tax structuring
for RHG. Mr Dhuru has 28 years in finance and has held senior
positions in the manufacturing, IT and real estate industries
across Asia and Europe.
Peter Tung as Vice
President Pre-Opening: Mr Tung has over 30 years of experience in
the hospitality industry and has held senior appointments with
international 5-star hotels and serviced apartments in China,
Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Mr Tung will be
responsible for the pre-opening operations of all the Groups new
hotels.
Geoffrey Johnstone as Regional Vice
President of Operations, Australia and New Zealand: Mr Johnstone
will oversee the operations of all hotels in the region while
maintaining his role as General Manager of Rendezvous Hotel
Melbourne. A 20 year veteran in hospitality, Mr Johnstone held
senior marketing and management positions with Starwood Hotel and
Resorts, Le Meridien Moscow Country Cub and Le Meridien at Rialto
Melbourne.
