Radisson Plaza, the premium extension of the full
service hotel brand, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, will be introduced in
Southeast Asia this year with the opening of the new Radisson Plaza
Resort Phuket Panwa Beach in Phuket, Thailand.
The new Radisson Plaza is scheduled to open in
the second half of this year, and will be the first of seven new
Radisson Plaza properties to open under the Carlson Hotels
Worldwide portfolio in Asia Pacific.
“The opening of this resort marks an important
milestone for the brand, as we will be present in one of the most
stunning and sought after resort destinations of the region,” said
Jean-Marc Busato, managing director – Asia Pacific, Carlson Hotels
Worldwide. “It will be a signature resort in Phuket’s expanding
and diversified tourism offering and will bring an added dimension
in breadth and product appeal.”
The
211-room resort will include 14 ocean villas and 15 pool villas
with an infinity edge plunge pool. It will feature three meeting
rooms, including a ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows for
banquets, which can accommodate up to 170 people banquet style or
220 people in theatre style.

Phuket Panwa Beach will also feature three free-form swimming
pools, Talay Spa - a wellness spa facility with six treatment
rooms, Form - a lifestyle fitness centre, Sapparot Club - a
dedicated zone for children, as well as a range of activities
including kayaking, windsurfing, yoga and meditation.
The resort entwined amidst ten acres
of lush flora and fauna is not only an ideal wedding
venue, but also caters to families, couples,
honeymooners and moderate sized meeting groups.

Carlson is the parent company of Radisson Hotels
& Resorts. The group plans to quadruple the number of hotels in
Thailand within the next two years, adding close to 1,500 rooms in
key destinations including Bangkok and Phuket.
