India's Kingfisher Airlines has launched flights
between Kolkata and Bangkok.
After London, Colombo, Dhaka and Dubai,
Bangkok is the fifth international destination on the
international route network of Kingfisher Airlines.
Flights are timed with flight IT 021 departing
from Kolkata, at 11:20 am and reaching Bangkok at 3:15 pm, local
time. The flight departs Bangkok at 4:30 pm and reaches Kolkata at
5:45 pm.
Commenting on the launch of this new service to
Thailand, Mr. Siva Ramachandran, Vice President-Global Sales,
Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, “The launch of this new route
marks the first time that Kingfisher Airlines is operating flights
connecting India to South East Asia. Besides catering to the
leisure market, the launch of this new route means that pilgrims
from Thailand coming into India will be able to benefit from the
excellent and convenient onward connectivity to Bodh Gaya. The
response to this new service has been tremendous and we look
forward to garnering a large share of the traffic on this route.”
The flights between Kolkata and Bangkok are
being operated using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Bangkok is the second international destination
to be served by Kingfisher Airlines from Kolkata.
