Mr Tony Romer-Lee has been appointed as Resort
Manager for the newly opened One&Only Cape Town. In his role, Tony
will oversee all operations and will report directly to the
resort’s General Manager Gérard Sintès.
Romer-Lee, with 17 years experience in South
African luxury hotels, joins One&Only’s newest resort after almost
three years as Senior General Manager at Singita’s 5 Lodges in the
Sabi Sand and Kruger National Park Game Reserves.
He began his
foray into the industry at Thames Valley University in the United
Kingdom where he studied hospitality and after moving to South
Africa, spent five years as General Manager of the Cape Grace in
Cape Town.
One&Only
Cape Town is the brand’s first urban resort. With its bold, contemporary design, the
venture promises to transform the city’s waterfront,
marking the homecoming of Sol Kerzner to South Africa where he
started his visionary career in hospitality.
The hotel features
131 keys - some of the most spacious rooms in Cape Town - with captivating
views of Table Mountain, and is home to Africa’s first Nobu
restaurant by Nobuyuki ‘Nobu’ Matsuhisa as well as maze restaurant
by Gordon Ramsay. It also features an exclusive Spa Island – a
haven of serenity which offers the most expansive and
comprehensive spa in Cape Town.
