Effective today (13 July 2009), Philippine
Airlines is increasing its all-jet service to Kalibo, Aklan to
thrice daily to accommodate passengers affected by the suspension
of PAL Express direct flights to Caticlan.
To deal with the expected increase
in Kalibo-bound passengers, PAL has increased its daily flights to Kalibo to three
- departing Manila morning, noon and afternoon
- using its Airbus A320 aircraft.
Passengers originally
booked on PAL Express flights to Caticlan will be accommodated on
any of the three regular PAL flights to Kalibo from where free
land-transfers will take them to Caticlan.
The all-jet PAL
service to Kalibo, which offer the exclusive Mabuhay (Business)
Class, operates from the NAIA Terminal 2.
PAL Express
Cebu-Caticlan flight will be re-routed to Cebu-Kalibo, still using
the Q300 aircraft.
