Gaming Asia Expo, an inaugural event for the
gaming and hospitality industry in Asia, is scheduled to take
place at the Singapore Expo from 19 to 20 August 2009.
Expecting to attract about 3000 trade professionals from the
gaming and hospitality industry as well as over 5000 members of
the general public, the event will feature a range of products,
services, equipment, software, new inventions, training and
educational programmes as well as apparels.
Exhibitors
from Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan
and USA will be present at the 2-day event to explore trade
opportunities with entertainment clubs, gaming facilities and
leisure venues as well as achieve a better understanding of
the
commercial environment in Singapore to expand their business in
South East Asia.
“Singapore is a dynamic platform upon
which the objectives of industry players can be met. We envision
that Gaming Asia Expo will provide visiting industry experts and
professionals a first hand experience of the multi-faceted social
and business environment in Singapore. In addition, as the gateway
to Asia, Singapore will allow exhibitors the reach into the rest
of Asia,” said Mr Philip Goh, ComExpo Pte Ltd, Organiser.
While the networking
sessions provide a common platform to meet with other industry
professionals for future business relations, the conference will
delve into HR and talent development programmes for the
hospitality and gaming industry as well as provide
insights into governing online gaming and discuss
addictions and solutions.
“This is truly a
unique and timely event suited to the developments that Singapore
is undergoing. The organisers have formed a stellar panel of
speakers and key buyers and representatives who will be
attending the event to meet with the region’s gaming
bodies and authorities,” said Mr Chandran Nair, DGM, Singex Venues Pte
Ltd.
The exhibition will open 10am to 6pm
daily. Admission is Free.
