Kingfisher Airlines to launch Mumbai - Hong Kong + Singapore Flights

India's Kingfisher Airlines is to launch daily non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Mumbai from 16 September 2009. Flights on this new route will be operated using a brand new Airbus A330-200.

The fast growing airline, will also launch flights between Singapore and Mumbai on 17 September 2009.

The launch of flights from India to Hong Kong and Singapore marks the first time that Kingfisher Airlines will be flying to South East Asia. Hong Kong and Singapore will be the 6th and 7th international destinations to be served by Kingfisher Airlines.

Commenting on the launch of this new international route, Mr. Siva Ramachandran, Vice President, Global Sales, Kingfisher Airlines Limited, said, “Given the strong linkages between India and East Asia, we believe that there is untapped potential and these new routes promise to serve the unmet needs of discerning corporate and leisure flyers. We are excited at the huge opportunity that exists for Kingfisher Airlines in the Hong Kong and Singapore market.”

Kingfisher Airlines flight IT 072, will take off from Hong Kong at 14:05 and arrive at 17:50 in Mumbai. The return fight, IT 071, will take off from Mumbai at 22:55 and arrive at Hong Kong at 08:05, local time.

The Mumbai-Singapore flight, IT 029, will take off from Mumbai at 23:05 and arrive in Singapore at 07:05 am. From Singapore, the return flight IT 030 will leave at 10:15 and arrive at 13:05 in Mumbai.

Kingfisher Airlines operates over 365 daily departures on its domestic route network with 98 flights a week on its international route network.
