LAN Airlines has developed a new service class that will be available to passengers flying within South America beginning September 15th.
Premium Economy, as the new service class has been named, is a specially designed product option for passengers who travel short distances
for business within the region.
Premium Economy will offer more cabin room and will focus largely on passengers that have tightly timed flight schedules. The advantages,
aside from being able to check-in online, include preferential check-in, access to the VIP lounge, boarding at the desired time, priority at
disembarking and with unloading of baggage. Additionally, LANPASS passengers will receive 125% of the accumulated mileage for each flight.
On board the new Airbus A320 fleet, every passenger will have more space and enjoy greater comfort in a cabin designed for 12 people. The
middle seat in each row converts into a table for a comfortable and better working environment during a flight. During short distance flights,
Premium Economy passengers will also enjoy a high-quality catered menu especially created by LAN’s distinguished panel of chefs, options
from a recognized wine list and more personal attention.
Premium Economy will be available between Santiago and Buenos Aires, Guayaquil, Quito, Lima, Sao
Paulo and Montevideo as well as for travel between Lima and Quito, Bogota, Medellin and Sao Paulo.
“This new service was designed and developed to provide passengers an exceptional travel option for traveling throughout the region,”
said Armando Valdivieso, LAN Airlines, CEO Passenger Business, “Premium Economy makes traveling a privilege because at every stage of air travel
there is more cabin space for an optimal experience. As always, we will strive to be innovative and offer the best products in the market while
delivering world class quality to our customers.”
