Visa has
launched a new website, visagreatbreaks.com, a one-stop online resource for Visa cardholders’ travel-related needs.
Visa cardholders anywhere in the world can now research, plan and book their travel arrangements online
through the site, and take advantage of special travel deals and Visa offers,
all in one sitting.
visagreatbreaks.com is linked with MSN’s new online channel
“Destinations”. This is the first time in Asia Pacific that MSN has worked with a partner to
offer a channel where travelers can retrieve and share information on travel locations.
Singapore is the first country in Asia Pacific to launch
visagreatbreaks.com with subsequent launches planned for early 2009.
June Seah, Regional Head, Acceptance, Visa International said,
“We partnered with MSN because it has an extensive reach, a strong subscriber base and tools
such as a mobile application and a desktop gadget that enable instant access to, and download
of, travel information. Combined with the features of Visagreatbreaks.com, the travel
resource will help our cardholders save their precious time and money.”
In
addition, Visa cardholders and visitors to “Destinations” can sign up
to MSN alerts for information on exclusive travel deals and Visa offers through Windows Live Messenger,
Windows Messenger or through e-mail. Videos on travel locations will also be made available
on Destinations.
Cardholders will be able to download applications through a mobile phone or through the desktop
to access travel or accommodation offers whether they are at home or on the go. The application
and gadget will be released later this year.
Gary Chin, Multinational Sales Manager, Asia Pacific, Microsoft said, “This is a wonderful
partnership that makes it easier for Visa cardholders to discover more about what the world has
to offer as well as get great deals for planning a perfect holiday. The tools available
on the MSN channel, in partnership with visagreatbreaks.com, mean that cardholders can read about other
travelers’ experiences and share their own experiences with others via Window’s Live Spaces.”
